Alison Martinenq

A self-taught painter, I’ve been devoting myself fully to my painting since 2008 and regularly exhibit in the Luberon to showcase my new work to the public.

My paintings, even the non-figurative ones, are essentially inspired by nature: rocky, sometimes rugged landscapes that I enjoy exploring on foot. My aim is not to faithfully reproduce a scene, but rather to capture the essence of a place, to express the shock of emotions that this place has aroused in me. Each painting is therefore an expression of my imagination.
