Picnic in the Olive Grove at La Bastide du Laval

Practical Information:

Pick up your picnic at the Bastide du Laval mill shop between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Please return the basket to the shop at 3:00 p.m. when it reopens. Please note: The mill is closed between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. You will not be able to return the basket during these hours; please keep this in mind when making your reservation.

You will be asked to present a form of ID when picking up the picnic basket. It will be returned to you when you return the basket and picnic equipment.

Reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance.

Meeting location: La Bastide du Laval, 199 Chemin de la Royère, 84160 Cadenet.

The tour begins by exploring the typical Provencal landscape, the olive groves of the southern Luberon, and ends at the mill of the prestigious Bastide du Laval.

Enjoy a delightful time at La Bastide du Laval, with a breathtaking view of the Luberon!

Make yourself at home in our olive grove and enjoy a breathtaking view of the Luberon Mountains while savoring a carefully prepared picnic featuring local and homemade products!

You can also visit the mill and the olive grove for free (30- or 60-minute tours) and sample the estate’s olive oils and wines. (Educational materials and audio guides available)

The picnic basket includes: a slice of savory quiche, a tomato-mozzarella skewer, a wrap, fruit salad, homemade chocolate fondant, and the estate’s specialties. A bottle of water is included. (Cutlery, tablecloth, and glasses are provided.)

You can also choose to add a bottle of wine for an additional fee, payable directly on site when you pick up your picnic basket.
